1. Invest in energy-efficient products
Since their national introduction in 1987, efficient standards for quantities of electricity and products have kept 2.3 billion tons of carbon dioxide in the air. 2. Reduce water pollution

So wash short showers, turn off the tap while brushing your teeth, and switch to Water Sense adhesives and labels. The EPA estimates that if one in 100 American homes were to be replenished, some 100 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year would be saved — 80,000 tons of global warming would be avoided.

The dangers posed by global warming are enormous. Excessive use of fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas and oil also plays a role. The use of fossil fuels should be stopped immediately. The most important solution to this crisis is the use of alternative energy sources. These include solar, wind, bio mass, geothermal and hydro. The most remarkable point in using these resources is their clean environment.
They do not emit any kind of pollution or toxic gases that could lead to global warming. It does not care about nature and does not pose a threat to the balance of nature. 4. Lower the plastic
Plastic is made of oil, and the process of extracting, refining, and converting oil into plastic (or polyester, textiles) is surprisingly carbon-intense. It does not decompose quickly in the environment so most plastics are burned, which contributes to production.
Demand for plastics is growing so fast that the production and disposal of plastics will make up 17% of the global carbon budget by 2050 (this is the number of emissions that need to remain within the agreement of the Paris agreement).
5. Keep oil low
Mineral fuels include coal, oil and gas – and if they are emitted and burned, climate change will be worse. All countries need to move their economies away from fossil fuels as soon as possible.
6. Start a weather conversation
Resolving climate change requires all of us to work together. We cannot do that without finding something we agree with those who may not share our view. Since people tend to trust their peers, family members and loved ones more than they trust experts, scientists, and environmental organizations, you can talk to people about climate change in ways we can never. You may have opened people’s minds.
7. Government measures
Top climate scientists recently released the “red human code”, warning that this is our last chance to make the necessary changes to keep temperatures below 1.5 to avoid the most devastating effects of climate change. Canada’s climate targets are still not enough to do our fair share around the world and dress only the G7 country whose emissions have increased since the signing of the Paris Agreement. 8. Reduce methane emissions
A recent UN report suggested that reducing methane emissions could make a significant contribution to the planet’s emergency response. A large amount of methane is emitted “in the light” – the burning of natural gas during oil extraction – and can be stopped by technical adjustments.
Finding better ways to dispose of waste is also important, as landfills are another major source of methane. In COP26, about 100 countries agreed to reduce methane emissions, in a US-EU-EU agreement. The Global Methane Pledge aims to reduce methane emissions by 30% compared to 2020 levels.
9. Switch to renewable energy
Electricity and heat production make a greater contribution to global production than any other economic sector. Transforming the earth’s energy system from relying on fossil fuels to pure technology – known as decarburization – is crucial to meeting current climate objectives.
Wind and solar energy will need to control the mixing of energy by 2050 if countries bring their zero totals. There are challenges, however, less air means less electricity is generated, but better battery technology can help us keep the residual energy from renewable energy, ready for discharge if needed.
10. Plant more trees
A 2018 UN report stated that, in order to have a real chance of keeping global temperatures below 1.5C, we will need to remove CO2 from the air. Forests are excellent at absorbing the atmosphere – one of the reasons why campaigners and scientists emphasize the need to protect the environment by reducing deforestation.
Trees are likely to be important as countries fight their targets to zero, because if gas emissions are reduced as much as possible, residual emissions could be “withdrawn” by carbon dioxide such as forests.
