Understand how the beauty pageant affects your child

Are you the parents of a teenager, especially a teenage girl? If so, have your daughter ever talked about participating in a beauty pageant? If she just, have you given her a decision? For many parents, the first they are “impossible,” but you must know that all beauty pageants are not as bad as visible.

When it comes to determine whether you should let your teenagers enter a beauty pageant or even some of them, you should know that there are a number of pros and cons to do it. One side of the pro or plus is the fact that it is something your teenagers want to do. If your teenager is a person who brings a beauty pageant, there is a good opportunity that it is something that interests them.

One more of the many pro or plus sides to allow your teenagers to enter a beauty pageant or even some of them are due to rewards. What’s fun about a beauty pageant is that you not only get a trophy or ribbon, but you also get cash prizes. Instead of cash, some beauty pageants even provide scholarships. If your child is interested in making their own money or if they are interested in college, beauty pageants can actually help them achieve their goals.

However, there is a family of beauty pageants out there who really spend time traveling throughout the country participating in beauty pageants. Even though you and your teenagers can do this if you want, it often puts a lot of stress, both emotional and financial, in all family members.

One more counter or loss to allow your teenagers to participate in a beauty pageant is the result. Unfortunately, there seems to be a stereotype associated with a beauty pageant. Many people only believe that beauty pageants are for those who are very beautiful or thin.

Maybe, this is partly because the fashion industry and many judges of beauty pageants. Although your teenagers can participate in a beauty pageant if he wants, whatever his appearance, it is something you might want to consider. For teenagers, there is nothing worse or more damage a person’s self-esteem if they are told or made feel as if they are not enough or talented.

In accordance with the competition, your teenagers may find it quite difficult to jump directly to the beauty pageant. A large number of teenagers who participated in a beauty pageant have done it because they are toddlers or elementary schools.

These participants are often more likely to see success than someone who has just been new to decide to enter a beauty pageant. Of course, that does not mean that your teenagers cannot be tall or even win a beauty pageant, but that means that they might have a lot of hard work in front of them.

The pros and cons mentioned above are only some of the many. If your teenagers have just asked you if they can take part in a beauty pageant, that is something you and your whole family might want to take seriously or at least check carefully.

Although there are a number of pro to let your teenagers enter a beauty pageant, there are also a number of cons or losses to do it too. One of the weaknesses is work done to attend a beauty pageant. Now, if your teenagers are only interested in competing in local contests, this might not be a big problem for you.

Beauty pageants are clearly not a problem of the past! In fact, they are more present now when they start years ago. However, there are many discussions about the luxury contest versus a natural contest. I prefer natural contests because it helps increase my low self-esteem and gain confidence and launch my modeling career among other things.

I have low self-esteem when I was a child who lingering in my teenager and then following me to become an adult. I was 24 years old when I competed in my first natural contest. I just hope my parents will allow me to enter into it faster.

So what is a natural contest? This is a contest for mothers and fathers who do not want their children or teenagers to use heavy makeup. This is a contest that does not push fake eyelashes, brown spray, dentures or fake hair. Many of these additional elements in natural beauty pageants can actually hurt your child or teenager when counting the final score.

The luxury contest is the opposite of nature. This is for parents who want their children or teenagers to be what is called “luxury”. This comes with a lot of decoration on dresses, heavy makeup, wigs, fake eyelashes, tan spray and different types of contests. Now don’t misunderstand, I have judged many natural contests where contestants also wear wigs.

Below are 5 reasons for entering a beauty pageant:

1. Get confidence

Some children are not confident in anything, even school or sports assignments. Natural contests will help them overcome the fear that fails and let them see themselves as winners.

2. Win scholarship money

Many contests give cash to contestants and savings bonds, but many also provide tertiary scholarships. However, the natural contest has many optional or natural side competitions that allow contestants to enter and become winners in the additional natural category.

3. Build self -esteem

Many children today do not believe in themselves. Some believe that they are not beautiful or even worthy of being called beautiful. Natural contests also focus on issuing the inner beauty. Many contestants in natural contests can be themselves.

4. Being less judgmental

Some children may be less judgmental if they do not see other contestants as a threat because they do not all have “sparkling” or “decorated” clothing.

5. New friends

Some children may be friends much easier if they all have more natural face appearance, one may not feel inferior to the other.
